Wreck of the Rhone, BVI

By Jamas - Posted on 08 March 2009

This a very impressive wreck dive. There are two dives to make at this location. The bow is in 80 feet of water. The iron hull lies on its side, the old wood decking long gone, making entry into the wreck very easy. The second dive is on the stern in 40 feet of water.

The area is a protected underwater park so the marine life is in good shape.

The current on the bow dive was strong which made the dive a bit of a challenge. Very little current at the stern.

If you are in BVI sailing then dive centers in the area can pick you up from your boat, rendezvous diving, for this dive our boat was at Cooper Island.
